Fruit & Spice Park’s annual Redland Heritage Festival and Craft Fair set for Dec. 4

‘Tis the season to be merry and bright at Miami-Dade County Parks’ Fruit & Spice Park. The popular Redland Heritage Festival and Craft Fair draws visitors from near and far to get their holiday on “Redland-style,” on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Preston B. Bird/Mary Heinlein Fruit & Spice Park, located at 24801 SW 187 Ave., Homestead.

This year marks the 45th season for the Redland Heritage Festival and Craft Fair. Spend the day with family and friends, take in the rich history and traditions that are unique to the Redland and get an early start on purchasing one-of-a-kind holiday gifts! There will be vendors showcasing traditional arts and crafts, nurseries selling native plants and delicious food and drink options. Included is a lecture series on the agricultural history of the Redland.

Admission is $10 per adult, $3 per child-ages 6-11, and free for kids ages 5 and under.

Fruit & Spice Park is part of the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department and grows more than 500 varieties of sub-tropical fruits, herbs, spices, vegetables. and nuts from around the world on 39 lush acres in the Redland. It is one of seven Miami-Dade County Heritage Parks and the only botanical garden of its kind in the United States.
