“We’re thrilled to showcase the Panthers jersey on one of the iconic alligator statues at Sawgrass Mills,” said Panthers Chief Marketing Officer Lauren Cochran. “This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our fans in South Florida and we’re excited to see the creative photos and gator names the community come up with.”
Sawgrass Mills revealed the new gator design on September 5, featuring his own blue and red Florida Panthers’ hockey jersey. The Panthers’ mascot, Stanley C. Panther, as well as the City of Sunrise Mayor and city dignitaries, Panthers COO Bryce Hollweg were also in attendance to celebrate.
“Sawgrass Mills is thrilled to celebrate the Florida Panthers’ Stanley Cup victory with our favorite gator!” said David Gott, General Manager of Sawgrass Mills. “Our guests love shopping for the latest Panthers gear at our stores, so it’s a perfect match to let fans name our gator and join in the fun of this huge sports milestone.
