ANDOVER PARK
Andover Park had a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 8, 2022. The park features a new inclusive playground, basketball court and walking trail. The inclusive playground has elements for children with autism and physical disabilities that will allow all children to enjoy the facilities together.
BENNETT LIFTER PARK
The work at Bennett Lifter Park includes a new community building, parking lot, basketball court and pavilions. This project began construction in Spring of 2022 and is anticipated to be completed in Early Fall 2023.
LESTER BROWN PARK
Phase 1: New playground and artificial turf football field were completed in 2019 and 2020.
Phase 2: Includes new community building, expanded parking lot, expanded walking trail, and perimeter fencing. This project is under construction, and is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2023.
BUNCHE PARK
Construction of the alternative sports facility was completed in May 2021 and the facility is now open to residents. The project includes a gymnasium with elevated walking track, several multi-purpose rooms, a playground and an artificial turf football field.
SENIOR FAMILY CENTER
Construction of the Senior Family Center was completed in July 2021. The facility includes a large banquet room, exercise room and several multi-purpose rooms. The site also includes an outdoor event space with outdoor kitchen and a lit walking trail.
RISCO PARK
The Risco Park project is an educational facility being designed in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. It will house a STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Math) wing which includes science and robotics classrooms, as well as an Audio-Visual wing, including a TV studio, recording studio, and a radio station. The project is currently in the Design Phase.
ROLLING OAKS PARK
Rolling Oaks Park, the City’s regional park facility, will be renovated to include a new welcome center, expanded lit walking trails, a second playground facility and a new main entrance off NW 183rd Street. Construction work is currently underway and is expected to be completed in 2024.
CLOVERLEAF PARK
The Cloverleaf Park renovations include a new community building, playground and parking lot. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held May 11, 2022, and the facility is now open to the public.
BRENTWOOD PARK
Brentwood Park (formerly Brentwood Pool) is in the permitting and bidding phase. Park renovations to include new playground, walking trail, fitness stations, restroom building, pavilions and perimeter fencing for enhanced security. This park is expected to break ground in early Fall 2023.
