The Miramar Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce has been serving our area for 54 years, promoting local businesses, encouraging economic development, offering training resources, fostering the relationships business leaders need to grow, and being the voice of the business community.
The idea of Shop Local is fundamental to ensuring a strong local economy to sustain our area in the long-term. A greater portion of each dollar spent locally tends to stay in the local economy when you spend it with a local business. Stronger local businesses are then able to hire more local employees, spend their money sourcing materials locally as well, and also support local charities more. A flourishing local business environment also increases competition and diversity of choice for consumers, which in turn promotes innovation and keeps prices competitive.
In 2023, we were most proud of the opportunity to bring our signature “A Sip of Wine, a Taste of Heaven” food and wine event back to Miramar after the pandemic hiatus. We hosted this 17th annual event at the Miramar Amphitheater for the first time, and hosted dozens of restaurants and hundreds of local guests. This event is integral to supporting our local restaurants and showcasing the best flavors of Miramar, as well as of our surrounding areas. During the pandemic, we were dedicated to supporting our local restaurants, and we are thrilled to be hosting this 18th annual event on March 16, 2024 to showcase our local flavors once again. Come out for a night under the stars to experience everything that Sip & Taste has celebrated over the years, with exquisite food, a variety of wines, and live entertainment. This past year, the Chamber published its 2023 Community & Business Guide, which is a great resource for new residents and business owners, as well as those looking to learn more about the cities we call home. You will be able to find this guide in retail areas, healthcare settings, realtor offices, and more locations around Miramar. We are currently putting together the 2024 edition and we can’t wait to build on this great community publication.
