Howard Drive Elementary is a PK-5th grade school located on the border between the Villages of Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest. The school was officially opened in the fall of 1961.
The mission of the school’s staff, parents and community has always been the commitment to provide a supportive environment for every student by the promoting of a firm academic and technological foundation which included multicultural experiences and by fostering intellectual, emotional and social growth.
With the growth of the school, a new media center and classrooms were added to the original facility. That took place in 2000 and again, shortly thereafter, a new wing of ten additional rooms was added. Over the years, Howard Drive Elementary School has continued its track of success and the school offers a variety of academic programs to ensure lasting achievements.
