Coral Gables Museum recently held a gala honoring some amazing women including civic activist and educator Leona Cooper Baker; editor and publisher Celia Sredni De Birbragher; philanthropist and financier Lynn Bauerm architect and urban designer Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, arts patron Agueda Solarana, and gallerist and curator Bernice Steinbaum.
Guests enjoyed to music of The French Horn Collective throughout the evening as well as an ongoing fashion show presented by esteemed designer Mayda Cisneros whose dresses were gorgeous. Catering by Chris provided delicious dinner followed by dessert and final bids. Kudos to the Gala committee: Dianne Amado-Tate, June Morris (who emceed the program), Jose Valdes-Fauli, Dorys Torrealba, and George Kakouris.
During the evening, the committee also took time to remember the legacy of Jeannette Slesnick, whose countless leadership roles included that of being founding secretary of the Coral Gables Museum.
Until next time, share your talents, count your blessings and not your challenges, and make a difference.
