I am proud to once again announce that Operation Green Light (OGL) has once again helped thousands of hard-working residents in our community which was held from April 6th to April 19th, 2026. OGL saved residents and customers over $280,000 whose outstanding parking, traffic, misdemeanor, and criminal court fines and fees, had been referred to a collection agency as per Florida Statutes.
Since taking office, my office and I have helped residents save more than $1.8 million through Operation Green Light and has established over 184,000 payment plans, providing meaningful pathways for individuals to regain compliance and financial stability. Operation Green Light is about giving our residents a second chance. By removing financial barriers, providing payment plans and simplifying the process, we are helping individuals get back on the road legally, return to work, and support their families.
During OGL collection fees are waived on eligible outstanding traffic tickets, parking citations, and court costs fines and fees that had been referred to a collection agency. Participants whose cases had been referred to a collection agency were able to save up to 30% on their overall debt through the waiver of collection fees, resulting in total savings of over $280,000.

During these challenging economic times, it is our responsibility to ease the burden on residents who want to do the right thing.
