Kendall Regional Medical Center is one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery, Joint Replacement, General Surgery, Prostate Surgeries and Gastrointestinal Care according to a national study by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals.
Every year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 32 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions using Medicare data, and outcomes in appendectomy and bariatric surgery using all-payer data provided by 15 states.
“The people of the organization have made a significant commitment to quality care and patient outcomes,” explained Dr. Manuel Anton, CMO, Kendall Regional.
“This is evidenced by the ongoing staff training, growth of the medical staff, equipment updates and focus on benchmark performance. Our teams have been diligent in their implementation and driven these impressive results. We are very proud of these recognitions and look forward to continuing our accomplishments and adding new ones,” he continued.
The achievement is part of findings released in the Healthgrades 2020 Report to the Nation. The new report demonstrates the importance of hospital quality to both hospital leaders and consumers. Additionally, to be considered for an award in General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Gastrointestinal Care, Kendall Regional Medical Center was evaluated in four of five procedures listed by MedPAR.

For its analysis, Healthgrades evaluated approximately 45 million Medicare inpatient records for nearly 4,500 short-term acute care hospitals nationwide to assess hospital performance in 32 common conditions and procedures, and evaluated outcomes in appendectomy and bariatric surgery using all-payer data provided by 15 states.
