Award-winning public relations firm Kreps DeMaria Public Relations & Marketing, consistently ranked among the top three in South Florida, is spinning itself.
One of the city’s most prolific publicity agencies, spanning more than 30 years of representing Miami’s best-in-class hotels, banks, law firms, and real estate developments with sage counsel and often times colorful headlines, recently announced it will spin off into two new agencies — Cultivate Integrated led by Sissy DeMaria and Kreps PR & Marketing led by Israel Kreps. The change takes effect Jan. 1, 2021.
Cultivate Integrated, a lifestyle public relations agency, will be led by CEO Sissy DeMaria-Koehne. Ansley Campbell, previously vice president of Kreps DeMaria, has been appointed partner and president of the new agency. She is joined by Laura Acker, a prior senior vice president at Kreps DeMaria who will serve as president of the firm’s New York office.
Kreps PR & Marketing, a full-service public relations firm, will be led by CEO Israel Kreps, with Caroline Underwood, Melinda Sherwood and Veronica Villegas, former senior vice presidents at Kreps DeMaria assuming expanded roles in the new organization.
“The pandemic has become a punctuation mark and pivotal point in our lives. It accelerated our decision to forge new paths with a nod to the nostalgia of our great memories together at Kreps DeMaria,” said DeMaria-Koehne. “We are both committed and invested in our clients and to offering them a smooth and seamless transition.”
Kreps added, “Sissy and I have had a wonderful run, and we will forever cherish many great memories and the years we had together. As she noted, we are working through an amicable, seamless transition, as we have been, and will continue to be close friends.”
Cultivate PR is now located at 300 Sevilla Ave., Coral Gables, FL, while Kreps PR will remain at 220 Alhambra Circle.
