Thirty influential women, from a variety of industries, gathered at La Jolla Ballroom in Coral Gables for an exclusive afternoon tea, kicking off a new women’s group initiative in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Hosted by La Jolla Ballroom, this event marked the launch of a group dedicated to uplifting RMHC families through three core pillars: volunteering, fundraising, and mentorship.

As pillars of the community who already contribute their time, talent, and treasure to meaningful causes, these women have now committed to providing direct support to families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Through organized volunteer efforts, they will help meet daily needs such as meal preparation and family activities. Fundraising efforts will directly contribute to the operational and program costs of RMHC while mentoring will offer invaluable support and encouragement to mothers facing challenging journeys with their children’s medical treatments.

“The women in this group bring more than just resources—they bring heart, and a desire to empower families in need,” said Soraya Rivera-Moya, Executive Director of RMHC of South Florida. “By joining forces, we are creating a network of compassion and resilience, where women can make a profound difference in the lives of other women and their families.”
The launch of this women’s group marks a new chapter for Ronald McDonald House, expanding its community engagement and broadening the support available to families at one of life’s most critical times.
