On Saturday, May 4, 2024, the Broward League of Cities installed West Park Mayor, Felicia Brunson as its 2024-2025 President, as well as its Executive Committee and Board of Directors at the 67th Annual Gala at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, Mayor Brunson gave an acceptance speech where she expressed the intent to use her year as President of the League to help create opportunities for Broward County residents in all 31 municipalities to “Experience Broward”, via unique venues and activities that make all Broward cities enjoyable to live, work, and visit.
City Commission members were present at the event along with several members of City Staff. Vice Mayor Brandon Smith was sworn in as Alternate Director, and Commissioner Marvin Price as Second Alternate Director, as the City’s representatives on the League’s Board of Directors. The Broward League of Cities’ Executive Committee and Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from each of Broward County’s 31 municipalities.
