Today, Miami Beach entrepreneur Shawn Vardi announced his campaign for Miami Beach City Commission in Group 1. A father and husband, Vardi was joined by his wife and son this morning as he filed his candidate paperwork with the City Clerk.
Shawn Vardi shared, “I love our community and as a father, husband and businessowner, I see firsthand the challenges we face. I have been an active voice in sharing ideas and solutions on addressing these challenges and believe firmly that the best way to move our City forward is to enter public service and run for City Commission. Our residents want to feel safe in their neighborhoods and are eager to continue to see Miami Beach be a leader on confronting sea level rise and climate change.”
Shawn Vardi is directly responsible for the management and operation Think Hospitalities assets in Miami-Dade, which include restaurants, hotels and retail. He holds a B.S. in Finance, Entrepreneurship and Small Business from Northeastern University, magna cum laude.
Vardi added, “I am excited to hit the campaign trail, meet with our residents and business owners and to build bridges between our communities. As a business owner, I offer some unique perspectives on how we preserve our important quality of life while also ensuring we continue to be a world-class destination. With so many companies relocating their headquarters and operations to South Florida, Miami Beach can seize the moment and be positioned to achieve new levels of greatness for our community. I am grateful to have the support of my family and friends who are on this journey with me so we can achieve great things for the City we all love. I am ready for the work ahead and humbled by this moment as I campaign to earn the support and votes of my fellow neighbors and residents.”
