Winning back-to-back state championships in Class 2-A, you could say it was a great year. In addition to team accolades, 2019 graduate Allen Hernandez was chosen for this year’s Cleveland Indians MLB team while 2016 alumnus Orlando Tribal was drafted by the Washington Nationals.
Adding to the honors, MCS Head Baseball Coach Chris Cuadra was selected to coach the Miami Dade Private Schools team in the HSBN/Miami Marlins Senior All-Star Game. MCS Seniors, Jason Garcia, Jason Marono, Adrian Rodriguez and Arnold Ruiz were chosen as players. The Miami Dade team, under Coach Chris, beat the Broward Private School’s Team 14-3.
