Miami-Dade County Parks Department proudly announces the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly enhanced Brothers to the Rescue Memorial Park on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The community is invited to celebrate this milestone at 2420 SW 72nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33155.
Brothers to the Rescue Memorial Park is not only a vital recreational space for baseball, softball, and walking enthusiasts but also a deeply meaningful landmark for Cuban exiles and those who honor the memory of individuals who risked their lives for freedom. The park stands as a tribute to the humanitarian efforts and sacrifices of the Brothers to the Rescue organization, ensuring their legacy endures for future generations. The recently completed improvements focus on accessibility, functionality, security, and overall park experience, ensuring greater enjoyment and increased usage by the community.
The park now features new ADA-compliant bleachers, improving accessibility for all visitors. Updated water fountains have been installed to provide better hydration options, while new lighting enhances safety and extends usability into the evening hours. The baseball field has been upgraded with new fencing and netting, and the park’s perimeter fencing has been replaced to improve security and aesthetics.
Miami-Dade County District 6 Commissioner Kevin M. Cabrera and Miami-Dade Parks Director Maria I. Nardi will deliver remarks at the event. We invite residents and media to attend and experience the improvements firsthand.
