Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins will join Related Group at the grand opening of two newly completed affordable housing communities in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood, Robert King High and Paseo del Rio, developed by Miami-Dade County Public Housing and Community Development in partnership with Related Urban Development Group – Related Group’s affordable housing arm. Commemorating the completion of the fourth and fifth phase of the ambitious River Parc master plan, the ceremony will take place on Tuesday, October 31 and will include private tours for elected officials, residents and members of the media.

Robert King High (Phase IV of the River Parc master plan) is the substantial rehabilitation of a 315-unit elderly public housing highrise originally constructed in 1964. The project serves extremely low-income seniors under the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. The renovation effort commenced in October 2020 and was completed in August 2023. The renovation of the Robert King High Community Center, a one-story clubhouse adjacent to the residential towers, was completed in October 2022 as part of this project.

Paseo del Rio (Phase V of the River Parc master plan) is a newly constructed, 182-unit, 7-story development completed in August 2023. The project serves households at 30-percent, 60-percent and 80-percent area median income (AMI) and includes studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Resident amenities include a multipurpose room, fitness center, business center, dog park, bike storage, outdoor grill and courtyard.

River Parc is one of Miami-Dade County’s largest mixed-income redevelopments, which upon completion will span over 2,500 units of affordable, workforce and market-rate apartments. Full completion of the 10 phases is expected by 2027.
