Miami-Dade County to announce humanitarian aid drive for Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands affected by Hurricane Fiona

On Thursday, September 22, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Board of County Commissioners will hold a press conference to announce a humanitarian aid drive to collect donations for Puerto Rico and other islands in the Caribbean devastated by Hurricane Fiona. In partnership with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), the county will accept critically needed items and monetary donations at two Miami-Dade Fire Rescue stations and a local GEM warehouse. The mayor will be joined by Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz, members from the Board of County Commissioners, and GEM representatives.
