The Miami Design District welcomes Friday evening performances weekly through Dec. 14.

The Miami Design District Performance Series returns on Oct. 5 to the Palm Court with its weekly Friday evening ensemble of live musical performances produced by 19-time Grammy Award-winning producer Emilio Estefan in collaboration with the Miami Symphony Orchestra presented by the Knight Foundation.

The free Performance Series gained notoriety after its start in 2017 for bringing performances out of the traditional theater setting and into the neighborhood. Open to the public every Friday, beginning on Oct. 5 and continuing through Dec 14, the series comes back with highly acclaimed performers and acts from all genres as well as the wildly popular Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) pop-up concerts.

This season will feature stellar performances by Julian Marley & The Uprising, Bernadette Peters, Luis Enrique, Thelma Houston, Nestor Torres, Emily Estefan, El Micha, Frankie Marcos & Clouds w/special guest Carlos Oliva, The South Florida Youth Symphony and Taylor Dayne.

In addition to the Performance Series, MDD also features two museums, YogArt, movie screenings at the ICA, lectures, Family Day and guided art tours to explore all of the public art exhibitions curated by some of the world’s leading contemporary artists that are all complementary to visitors.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Performance Series to the Miami community for a fourth season,” said Craig Robins, DACRA CEO and president. “With a diverse roster of talent headlining for 11 straight weeks, Miami Design District remains a key contributor to Miami’s cultural fabric, by offering residents engaging cultural experiences, live music, and more.”

Miami Design District, your spot for cultural experiences, also is a world-class culinary destination on the rise. St. Roch Market, the contemporary, multi-vendor food hall brand, hailing from New Orleans offers inspired dishes from around the globe. Grab something to enjoy during the show from Mad Lab Creamery, a sweet shop serving soft serve ice cream, fluffy Japanese cheesecake and chocolate bark.
