Four new members — ranging in industry specialization from financial services to business incubation and the nonprofit sector — have been appointed to The Miami Foundation Board of Trustees.
The new members are Richard A. Berkowitz, JD, CPA, CEO of Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors and Accountants; Annette Franqui, MBA, CFA, co-founding partner of Forrestal Capital; Pandwe Gibson, PhD, founder and CEO of EcoTech Visions, and Victoria Rogers, vice president-Arts at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
“The Foundation is privileged to have access to the kind of insight and talent displayed in this new class of trustees,” said Javier Alberto Soto, president and CEO of The Miami Foundation. “Their entrepreneurial backgrounds and proven analytical thinking are a perfect complement to the current board’s visionary guidance of our rapidly expanding work.”
Established in 1967, The Miami Foundation uses civic leadership, community investment and philanthropy to improve the quality of life for everyone who calls Greater Miami home. It has partnered with individuals, families and corporations that have created more than 1,000 personalized, philanthropic funds.
