MIAMI LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND STUDENTS CHOSEN TO PARTIPATE IN UDONIS HASLEM FOUNDATION HOLIDAY SHOPPING SPREE AND LUNCH

WHAT:            12th Annual Udonis Haslem Foundation Holiday Honor Roll Celebration

WHEN:            Friday, December 23, 2022, 9:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

WHERE:         Walmart FunDimension Amusement Center

DETAILS:        Ten visually impaired Miami Lighthouse for the Blind students will join other children from underserved communities for a shopping spree and day of fun sponsored by the Udonis Haslem Foundation. Each participant will receive a $200 gift certificate for a shopping spree at Walmart and a backpack filled with goodies. Miami Heat Captain and three-time NBA champion Udonis Haslem will join them there to celebrate the holiday season.

After their Walmart visit, the youngsters will travel to the FunDimension Amusement Center for lunch and hours of games. Grace Foods and Joshua’s Heart Foundation will meet the group at FunDimension to distribute groceries to each student to help address food insecurity in underserved communities.

The Udonis Haslem Foundation’s 12th Annual Christmas Program for Exceptional Students honors deserving youngsters from Miami-Dade and Broward counties who have excelled academically, despite various socio-demographic factors.
