Mercy Hospital, a facility of HCA East Florida, has announced the appointment of Monica Couso as director of Marketing and Public Relations.
In her new role, Couso is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communications plans for the facility, brand and service line marketing to consumers, strategic planning, external public relations and community outreach.
“We are pleased to have Monica join Team Mercy,” said Dale Alward, Mercy Hospital CEO. “Her extensive background in marketing and prior healthcare experience make her a valuable addition to our team.”
Couso has more than 20 years of experience in communication, advertising/marketing, public relations and media management with a focus on the United States Hispanic market. Prior to joining Mercy Hospital, she held the position of marketing manager at Hialeah Hospital.
Couso holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication degree from the University of Miami.
