Moss Cultural Arts Center Announces Thrilling Lineup for Fall 2025 and the Holidays

    Concerts, dance, and family-friendly performances kick off the season at the Moss Center

    The Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center starts the 2025-2026 season of performances with a vibrant mix to entertain and inspire. From cutting-edge dance theater and smoky jazz to festive holiday classics and nostalgic 1980s hits, this diverse lineup offers shows to appeal to every taste and age.     The season opens with the artistry of Saxyn DanceWorks on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3 p.m. Choreographer and director Thryn Saxon brings a fresh voice to contemporary dance-theater in Seolh, a work that blends movement, mythology, and music in a beautiful exploration of memory and transformation.

    On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., jazz lovers will be treated to the smooth sounds of Marcus Click Quintet. A Billboard-charting artist known for his sultry saxophone style, Click will lead his ensemble through selections from his acclaimed album, Brand New Day, along with fresh takes on familiar hits.

    That same weekend, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Week, the Moss Center welcomes the celebrated Cuban zarzuela Cecilia Valdés on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. This concert presentation, featuring the Florida Chamber Orchestra, IFÉ-ILÉ Afro Cuban Ballet Company, and soprano Église Gutiérrez, showcases one of Cuba’s signature musical works.

    On Friday, October 17, 2025, at 8 p.m., the season shifts into high-energy nostalgia with Backyard Bash XI: Abducted By The ‘80s. Pop icons Wang Chung, Men Without Hats, and Naked Eyes take the audience back in time with hits like “Dance Hall Days,” “The Safety Dance,” and “Promises, Promises.”

    On Friday, October 24, 2025, at 6 p.m., the week leading up to Halloween kicks off with Halloween 2025 Featuring The Spooky Symphony. Live orchestral music and spooky sounds set the tone for this all-ages, costume-friendly Miami celebration. The event features a Haunted House, candy giveaways, and other fun Halloween activities.

    On Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 8 p.m., Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami presents a bold fall performance featuring two captivating new works. The program includes a world premiere by Artist in Residence Yanis Eric Pikieris along with choreographer Selah Jane Oliver’s “Valley of Shadows,” underscoring the company’s dynamic artistry and commitment to new voices in dance.

    Saturday, November 22, 2025, heralds the official arrival of the holiday season with A Charlie Brown Christmas Concert. Pianist Dr. Zachary Bartholomew and his trio reimagine Vince Guaraldi’s classic score, blending performance with storytelling. This joyful concert, which will be performed at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., is perfect for families and fans of all ages.

    On December 6, 2025, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3 p.m., the season concludes with a sparkling production of The Nutcracker. Miami Youth Ballet joins professional artists in this holiday classic, featuring magical sets, shimmering costumes, and Tchaikovsky’s regal score.

    Continuing the yuletide magic is ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas from Seraphic Fire. The group will perform classics that shape the holidays, including “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Jesus Christ the Apple Tree,” on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 4 p.m.
