Begin 2025 with music and community as Downtown Coral Gables comes alive with Music at McBride Plaza, a free concert series celebrating the exceptional talent of student musicians from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music (UM). Presented by the City of Coral Gables in collaboration with the Arthur B. McBride Sr. Family Foundation, the Dosal Family Foundation, and the Coral Gables Welcome Center, this is the fourth year of this series which begins Thursday, Jan. 9, at McBride Plaza on Miracle Mile and continues every other Thursday through March 20.
Featuring a wide array of musical genres—from jazz and opera to classical guitar and newgrass pop—this curated series is a testament to Coral Gables’ vibrant cultural landscape. Each concert is designed to offer high-quality programming in the heart of the City Beautiful.
“This concert series reflects Coral Gables’ commitment to fostering arts and culture while celebrating our incredible partnership with UM,” said Belkys Perez, the city’s Economic Development director. “In 2025 when both Coral Gables and UM are celebrating our centennials, we are especially proud to host this collaboration. It exemplifies the strength of our bond and highlights the powerful synergy between the city and the university in promoting community and culture.”
The Music at McBride Plaza series was founded by Barbara Tria of Coral Pine Real Estate. “Bringing this collaboration to life with the City of Coral Gables and the Frost School of Music is incredibly rewarding,” said Tria. “These students represent the future of music, and we are thrilled to share their gifts with our community. Each musician has been selected through a rigorous audition process, ensuring an extraordinary lineup of talent.”

In case of inclement weather, the series will be moved to Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theater, 280 Miracle Mile.
