Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is pleased to collaborate with iHeartMedia in South Florida to host the first-ever iHeart4Kids Radiothon from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. November 4. The 12-hour fundraising event, to benefit patients and families of Nicklaus Children’s, will be broadcast live on Totally 93.9 FM and NewsTalk 610 WIOD, with donations being collected by phone, text and online.

Throughout the day, Nicklaus Children’s patients, families and staff will take to the airwaves to share their inspiring stories of hope and healing. They will be interviewed by on-air radio personalities, including DJ Laz on Totally 93.9 FM.

“We are excited to host our first-ever iHeart4Kids Radiothon alongside our friends at iHeartMedia, all to benefit the patients and families of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital,” said Jessica Usina, executive director of strategic operations at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation. “After months of planning, we are eager to share stories of impact from families right here in our community as we raise essential funds for the hospital.”

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital relies on community support to continue providing amazing patient care to kids across our community and around the world. The hospital is a pediatric care leader, with clinical programs that draw families from throughout Florida and beyond in search of the latest clinical offerings. It also serves as a safety net hospital for underserved families in our community, with 70 percent of its patients insured by Medicaid. Every dollar donated to Nicklaus Children’s supports the hospital’s greatest needs, from patient assistance to medical advancements and cutting-edge research.

“iHeartMedia is proud to partner with South Florida’s leading children’s hospital to help raise much-needed funds for kids,” said Shari Gonzalez, market president at iHeartMedia Miami/Fort Lauderdale. “Nicklaus Children’s is an important part in our community, caring for our children and building a healthy future. We look forward to dedicating our airwaves to Nicklaus Children’s with the hope that we can help more kids get the care they need!”
