PALMER TRINITY SCHOOL TEACHER APPOINTED TO THE BOARD OF FLORIDA CHINESE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION

Palmer Trinity School (PTS) is proud to announce that Yiran Liu, a Chinese language teacher, has been appointed to the board of the Florida Chinese Teachers Association (FCTA).

Liu has been teaching Mandarin at Palmer Trinity for the past five years. Prior to this she was a Chinese language and culture consultant at the German Embassy in Beijing. Liu holds a bachelor’s degree in teaching Chinese as a second language and is a member of the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS).

“I’m very excited to represent our school on the FCTA Board,” said Liu. “Sharing ideas and teaching experiences will be beneficial to provide more engagement for our world language students.”

The Florida Chinese Teachers Association (FCTA) is a nonpolitical, nonprofit educational and professional organization whose mission is to promote the study and teaching of the Chinese language and culture on all educational levels as well as provide a network of support services for Chinese language teachers and learners. It is an affiliate of the Florida Foreign Language Teachers Association (FFLA). FCTA organizes an annual Florida Statewide Chinese Competition for middle and high school Chinese learners to promote Chinese learning and as a platform for Chinese language educators to exchange ideas and experiences.
