Palmer Trinity School welcomes renowned author Carl Hiaasen
Carl Hiaasen, noted journalist and novelist, signs autographs for middle school students at Palmer Trinity School.

Palmer Trinity School (PTS) recently partnered with Books & Books, local independent bookstores, to welcome celebrated journalist and novelist, Carl Hiaasen. Hiaasen met with middle school students to discuss his writing process and answer questions about his creative process, favorite works and writing influences.

“We are grateful to Carl for his generosity with our middle school students,” said Patrick Roberts, head of school. “As huge fans of his books, they were eager to learn about a writer’s mindset and inspirations for his novels.”

Hiaasen was born and raised in Florida, where he still lives. He is the author of many bestselling novels, including Squeeze Me and Razor Girl. His books for younger readers include the Newbery Honor winner Hoot, as well as Flush, Scat, Chomp, Skink — No Surrender, and Squirm. More of Hiaasen’s work can be found at https://carlhiaasen.com/.
