This year’s July 4th celebration in Palmetto Bay, the eighth annual Independence Day event, will have a number of activities and spectacular features, culminating in a fireworks display.

Included will live music, street entertainment, a variety of food vendors, craft vendors and a beer garden. There also will be face painting, stilt walkers, LED robots in a glowing dance routine and a free toddler fun zone with inflatables — something for everyone in the family. Live music will be provided by the Cutler Stew Band and others.

Palmetto Bay residents, friends and neighbors will come together on July 4th to celebrate America’s birthday on a grand scale from 6 to 9 p.m. at Village Hall. This event is free to the public.

The fireworks launch, a 15-minute show set to music, is scheduled for 9 p.m. Staff recommends arriving early at 5:30 p.m. to get a good viewing spot and to allow time to enjoy food and beverages served by several different food vendors. ID is required for alcohol purchases. Event staff also suggest that residents bring blankets and beach chairs. No barbecue grills are allowed.

Village Hall is located at 9705 E. Hibiscus St.

Top red level sponsors this year are South Motors, The Collection, Panter Panter & Sampedro, and the Town of Cutler Bay. Also sponsoring the event are The Corradino Group, Baptist Health, Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Palmer Trinity School.
