PTS graduating senior awarded 2023 Reagan Leadership Medal
Henry Kuemmell

Graduating Palmer Trinity School senior Henry Kuemmell was selected as a recipient of the 2023 Reagan Leadership Medal. The program was started as a way to recognize the accomplishments of graduating high school seniors who exemplify the traits of drive, humility and service before self.

“The Reagan Leadership Medal provides a unique way to recognize outstanding talent among graduating seniors across the country,” said Janet Tran, chief learning officer. “The locally controlled nomination process allows high school counselors and administrators the autonomy to select their most deserving student. In this way we are putting the power back in the classroom where it belongs.”

Kuemmel is one of 324 recipients selected from across the country.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles — individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy and national pride.

The foundation is a non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, Reagan Center for Public Affairs, Presidential Learning Center, Air Force One Pavilion, award-winning Reagan Leadership Center and Reagan Institute, which carries out the foundation’s mission in Washington, DC.

The Reagan Library houses over 55 million pages of gubernatorial, presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It also serves as the final resting place of America’s 40th president and former First Lady Nancy Reagan.
