Ribbon cutting for Little Library at Coral Gables Woman's Club
Former Coral Gables Mayor Dorothy and Jack Thomson are pictured with current Mayor Vince Lago and commissioners at the ribbon cutting for Little Library.

The Little Library ribbon cutting took place Wednesday, Nov. 17, on the clubhouse grounds of the Coral Gables Woman’s Club.

Participating were Gables Mayor Vince Lago and Commissioners Jorge Fors, Kirk Menendez and Rhonda Anderson, as well as former mayor and club member Dorothy Thomson and her husband, Jack.

The library was donated by the Vince Lago Family in memory of Janice Thomson who died two years ago. Janice also was an active member of CGWC and a teacher. Among the others attending the ceremony were Dorothy and Jack’s son, a Coral Gables Police officer; friends; city employees, and several members of the Coral Gables Woman’s Club, including Ana Lam who first approached the city with the idea for the Little Library on clubhouse lawn.
