Students, families and the general public can participate in a fun Scarecrow Competition which will take place as part of the Halloween Hoedown’s festivities, to take place on Sunday, Oct. 27, at the historic Coral Gables Merrick House, 907 Coral Way. Bring your original funny, scary, or wacky creations and put them on display at the event for the public to judge. Scarecrow entry fee is $50 with proceeds to benefit ongoing projects of the Merrick House. Entry forms are due by Oct. 23. Register now.
