South Miami Wins Kickball Tournament benefiting Cure CF Miami

The City of South Miami participated in the 10th Annual  Celebrity Kickball Tournament benefiting Cure Cystic Fibrosis Miami through the Delaney Binker Family Foundation. South Miami staff competed all day and ultimately took home the Community Trophy after beating Pinecrest Police Department as well as the City of Miami Fire Department. The City won the overall tournament as well with 5 wins and 1 loss.

Jerry Socherman, Co-Founder of Cure CF Miami, attended the City’s Commission meeting  on Tuesday, March 21st to present the trophies and thank the City as well as Mayor Fernandez who was a great sport and took a pie to the face, delivered by City Manager, Genaro “Chip” Iglesias, as a means to fundraise for the foundation.
