Subaru of Pembroke Pines partnered with the Humane Society of Broward County to host its annual Dog Appreciation “Pawty” and Pet Adoption Event on Sunday, Oct. 27. The family-friendly event invited the community to celebrate Subaru Loves Pets® Month with activities for all ages, including music, food from local vendors, giveaways, and a pet costume contest. Special guests included influencer Tour with Teddy, alongside vendors such as Pet Spaw Palace, Scenthound, Noah & Paw, and the Humane Society of Broward County, who were on hand to provide pet-related services, products, and adoptions.
“At Subaru of Pembroke Pines giving back to our community is at the heart of everything we do and that includes a strong commitment to helping local animals find loving homes,” said Subaru of Pembroke Pines District General Manager Duane Massa. “The Subaru Loves Pets initiative is just one of the ways we contribute throughout the year, and we’re proud to partner with the Humane Society of Broward County to make a meaningful and lasting difference for both pets and people in our community.”
The event drew over 300 attendees and their dogs, along with participating vendors who played a key role offering a variety of services, from grooming to pet supplies, creating an engaging experience for both pets and their families. The highlight of the event was the announcement of Subaru of Pembroke Pines’ “Pet of the Year,” with Harper(@harpergirlthewestie on Instagram) taking home the grand prize, which included a $100 Amex gift card.
Since partnering with the Humane Society of Broward County in 2021, Subaru of Pembroke Pines has donated more than $81,700 through the Subaru Share the Love® Event to support shelter animals and help them find new homes. The Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, which donates $100 for every pet adopted during October, is a key part of this commitment, demonstrating Subaru of Pembroke Pines’ dedication to improving the lives of pets in need.
In addition to its work with the Humane Society, Subaru of Pembroke Pines has long supported other local organizations, including Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, and Children’s Harbor. Over the years, the dealership has donated over $1.6 million to the local community as part of the Subaru Share the Love® program. Through these efforts, Subaru of Pembroke Pines continues to give back to the community and help improve the lives of local residents and animals alike.
