Gleaming green new is TD Bank’s latest branch at 14395 S. Dixie Highway in Palmetto Bay. TD Bank celebrated the grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 20 and invites customers and visitors to stop by.
“This is a clean canvas for us and we are excited to have a presence in this community,” explained store manager Emily Arcia. “We are welcoming when you come inside. No bars, no security windows and the offices have transparent walls. It’s all about servicing your banking needs, in a home-like environment.”
The branch works as a 20-person team, and although every person has their specialty, anyone else can step in to assist. “There are no silos for us,” explained Arcia. “Whether it be small business banking, mortgage, or a personal account, we want to learn about our customers and what they need. Then it’s about tailoring our approach to make sure their goals are reached.”
The Palmetto Bay TD Banks boasts about being full service with the ability to help people save for a rainy day, start a business, or taking a business to the next level.
Arcia says CDs are coming back strong these days with rates above 2 percent. She was proud to say that Palmetto Bay is her neighborhood and has been for 20+ years. She and the rest of the team are excited to meet people and help achieve their financial goals. The store even has dog biscuits and lollipops for the “little ones” that might come along.
UMSHoF to Hold CANESINO Night Event
The University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame will hold its first-ever CANESINO Night fundraising event on Saturday, December 8 at The Loft on Bayshore, 3601 S. Miami Ave., from 7 to 11 p.m. This traditional casino night event will feature many tables of games, roulette wheels and a “high rollers” table for the experienced gambler.
Early Bird tickets are $99 (until December 1) and $150 at the door. Admission includes $100 in chips, food, one drink, photo booth, a silent auction and winners raffle. Attendees can use the UBER code “CANES” to get a $5 discount on their rides to the event.
