The prestigious Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships (JOB) returns to Miami for its thrilling 62nd edition from December 12 to 21, 2023. This globally recognized tournament will showcase 800 top-ranked junior players aged 12-and-under and 14-and-under, representing an impressive array of 76 countries.

The JOB boasts a rich history and a legacy of international excellence, with an impressive list of previous tournament participants and winners, including but not limited to Coco Gauff, Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, Andy Murray, Chris Evert, Frances Tiafoe, and Maria Sharapova.

The 2023 Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships marks a significant turning point, embodying the fruition of a vision to transform the tournament into an extraordinary experience for players while providing an unparalleled marketing platform for sponsors. Serving as the new “ground zero,” the 2023 edition has garnered immediate support from both existing and new sponsors, signifying a fresh start for the revamped JOB and capitalizing on the robust brand and legacy cultivated over the past 60+ years.

Under the leadership of new tournament director Robert Gomez, the 2023 JOB aims for athletic excellence by implementing a reduced main draw and using criteria such as national rankings, World Tennis Number (WTN), and Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) to ensure the highest level of competition.

“Our new initiatives ensure that participants not only compete but also savor every moment on and off the court as if they are participating in a mini US Open,” said Cathy Nordlund, tournament coordinator since 2010.  “In addition to the exciting setup we will have this year, players will also enjoy a full-blown player party with a DJ, pizza truck, and several fun activations throughout the event that will make this an unforgettable experience.”

Top-tier sponsors, including Wilson, the City of Coral Gables, and Laurel Springs School, are integral to the 2023 Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships’ success. Wilson, for instance, will bring on-site activations, educational sessions, a court demo with a top ATP player, and a player’s lounge during the tournament. They are also generously providing a full player sponsorship package to the winners, including a Wilson bag filled with goodies. LAT Tennis, another top-tier sponsor, is sponsoring practice courts and player credentials, having organized The JOB Wild Card Series in the US.

“We’re excited to partner with brands committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young athletes through contributing to this memorable and unique event,” added Michael Wiesenfeld, who recently joined the JOB Tennis Committee to revamp the sponsorship platform and improve the tournament experience for all the stakeholders. “The partnership goes beyond financial support, sponsors are actively contributing to the experience through unique on-site activations and community building.”

Other sponsors like Edge International Sports Agency, the official partner for The 2024 JOB Wild Card Series in Europe, will offer 1-on-1 consultations about racquets and stringing, and a week at the Piatti Tennis Center for selected winners. SwingVision, an analytics sponsor, will provide in-depth match analytics, record most matches, and live stream the semi-finals and finals. Adonel Concrete will sponsor a player party with a DJ, games, food trucks, and surprises for kids.

Further, Marka Sports, the 2024 JOB Wild Card Series partner in Central America and the Caribbean, will dress up facilities to create a professional event atmosphere with Pro windscreens, a step and repeat, a press conference booth, and an award ceremony setup. YoungStars.io will provide free digital trading cards (NFT) to all players, and Halo will supply hydration stations throughout the facility and on every court for every game. Together, these sponsors contribute a rich array of offerings, including star player appearances, match recording and streaming, post-match analytics, training opportunities, and unique experiences for participants and attendees alike.

The 62nd edition of the Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships, presented by Laurel Springs School, promises to be a landmark event combining athletic excellence, an enriched player experience, and meaningful business partnerships dedicated to fostering a sense of community. Save the date, December 12 to 21, 2023, and join us at one of the three sites in Miami (B/G U14 at Biltmore Tennis Center and Salvador Park in Coral Gables; B/G U12 at Crandon Park, Key Biscayne) as we celebrate the generation of tennis pros.
