School Board Chair Mari Tere Rojas was recognized with the Elected Leader of the Year Award at the 42nd Annual Latin Builders Association (LBA) Awards Luncheon. The event took place on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Trump National Doral. Also in attendance were Guest Keynote Speaker Danny Perez, Florida House of Representatives and Speaker Designate, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jose L. Dotres, my colleagues on the Board, Vice-Chair Danny Espino, Board Member Roberto Alonso, Board Member Monica Colucci, elected officials, and community stakeholders.

This achievement demonstrates Board Chair Rojas’ passion and commitment to education for over 45 years. “I am extremely humbled that the Latin Builders Association (LBA) has recognized me for my efforts in serving the third largest and the best School District in the country. Together with my colleagues on the Board and our Superintendent of Schools, we have achieved stellar accomplishments benefiting our students and workforce,” said Board Chair Mari Tere Rojas.

Congratulations to the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition and all the winners from several other categories for their exemplary leadership.
