The famed Town Kitchen & Bar — a staple of South Miami for over 15 years — has reopened following a year-and-a-half shutdown due to coronavirus pandemic.
In Miami terms, Town Kitchen & Bar can be considered and institution — one of the authentic local places to experience, great food, drinks, atmosphere and fun. Your neighborhood place where you see your friend and familiar faces.
Town partners, John Janette and Brandon Lurie, are excited to be back after months of being apart from their customers and coworkers. It’s like one big family. They said they missed all of the regulars and coworkers who are consider family.
With the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, Town decided to close using much of that downtime to renovate and update the menu.
After months of closure, Town is open for business and as expected, they’ve been busy with many of their regulars happy to welcome them back. The restaurant offers the largest number of outdoor seats in the area and two private event rooms.
Town is still that same neighborhood go-to place featuring large portions of global comfort foods, with updated specialties. The full bar and lounge features a large number of wines by the glass in the area, in addition to signature martinis and cocktails.
Located just west of Red Road and a block south of Sunset Drive, the restaurant’s orange-lit neon sign on the façade of Plaza 57 is easy to spot. There is self-parking in Plaza 57’s garage, and ample metered parking nearby.
Town Kitchen and Bar is located at 7301 SW 57 Ct., South Miami, FL 33143. Hours are: Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m.; Saturday, 3-11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Brunch coming soon. For reservations, call 305-740-8118.
