TOWN OF DAVIE HOSTS TAKE-A-KID FISHIN’ ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 3, 2024

The Town of Davie will be hosting its annual Take-A-Kid Fishin’ event on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Davie Golf Course, located at 8201 Nova Drive.

This event is open to children ages 5 to 12. Prizes will be awarded for different categories including:

  • Longest fish caught
  • Most fish caught
  • Most unusual catch
  • Sportsmanship award

To participate, individuals must pre-register at www.davie-fl.gov/eventregistration. The cost to participate is $10 per child and includes lunch, a Take-a-Kid Fishin’ t-shirt and a can of worms. The last day to register is Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. Participants must bring their own fishing pole with line, hooks, bobbers and additional fishing tackle.
