Movie to be shown is Sing 2.
The Town of Cutler Bay is hosting a Movie Night and Dog Walk/adoption event on Friday, Sept. 16, on the lawn of Encompass Health, 20601 Old Cutler Rd.
“For all the dog lovers, we’re partnering with Miami-Dade Animal Services to host a dog walk, where some of the cuties up for adoption will be strutting their stuff,” said Desiree Ducasa, communications manager for the Town of Cutler Bay. “Attendees will be able to adopt a pooch on the spot.”
The movie will be Illumination – Sing 2. Sing 2 is a 2021 American computer-animated jukebox musical comedy film produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. The sequel to Sing (2016) and second film in the franchise was written and directed by Garth Jennings and co-directed by Christophe Lourdelet.
The film stars an ensemble voice cast consisting of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Nick Kroll, Jennings, Peter Serafinowicz, Jennifer Saunders, and Nick Offerman, reprising their roles from the first film. The sequel also features new characters voiced by Bobby Cannavale, Spike Jonze, Bono, Halsey, Pharrell Williams, Chelsea Peretti, Letitia Wright, Eric André, and Adam Buxton.
It’s rated PG.
The Dog Walk Begins at 6 p.m. The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and there will be free popcorn while supplies last.
Food trucks will be on site selling various food items. Those attending are advised to bring lawn chairs and blankets since it is an outdoor movie on the lawn.
