U.S. SBA Hosts Free Seminars on Loans & Mitigation: January & February

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is hosting Strengthening Communities: SBA Loans and Mitigation Strategies for Lasting Resilience. The series of free information sessions aims to empower homeowners and business owners with actionable strategies to protect their properties from future hazards, while leveraging SBA loans for hazard mitigation.

What: Information sessions on hazard mitigation funding options and strategies to enhance community resilience. Attendees will learn how to access SBA loans for hazard mitigation and take proactive steps to protect their homes and businesses.

Who: Community members, including small business owners, homeowners, and SBA disaster loan borrowers seeking tools and resources to protect their properties from future hazards.

When/Where: A full list of current locations and times is available on the registration page. Locations are subject to change, so check the page regularly for updates.

Why: These sessions bring critical resources and tailored mitigation guidance for homeowners and business owners impacted by recent disasters.

Meetings take place throughout the months of January and February, with one upcoming session in Broward, and two virtual sessions:

  • February 2, 2025, 10:00 – 11:00 AM ET Online via Zoom – Registration Required
  • February 4, 2025, 12:00 – 1:00 PM ET Pompano Beach Library and Cultural Center, 50 W Atlantic Boulevard, Pompano Beach, FL, 33060
  • February 11, 2025, 6:00 – 7:00 PM ET Online via Zoom – Registration Required
