The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with FG Construction to resurface NW 16 Avenue from NW 7 Street to NW 8 Street in the Durrs neighborhood. Crews will also apply new pavement markings at crosswalks and intersections within this area (see map below).

Construction will begin on Monday, August 7, 2023, and is expected to be completed in late August 2023. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

This project is funded through a Community Development Block Grant. This federal grant program is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and supports activities to build stronger and more resilient communities.

  • Access to driveways will be maintained.
