

Miami-Dade County Commission Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson on Oct. 20 helped kick off the Overtown Youth Center capital campaign, whose goal is to raise $10 million to support the construction and expansion of the Overtown Youth Center.
Vice Chairwoman Edmonson delivered remarks on the importance of fostering economic development within our neighborhoods. She was joined by Alonzo and Tracy Mourning, Mourning Family Foundation President Bill Diggs, Miami City Commissioner Keon Hardemon, School Board member Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, Youth Center Executive Director Tina Brown and members of the Center’s Board of Directors and staff, and MBF Healthcare Partners Chairman Miguel “Mike” Fernandez, who serves as capital campaign chairperson.
