Miami-Dade County Commission Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson will kick off Black History Month with the “Sights & Sounds of Our Heritage” kickoff celebration on Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theatre, 819 NW 2nd Ave. in Miami.
There will be a reception at 6 p.m., followed by the main show at 7:30 p.m. with performances by Terrance “VesSoul” Cribbs-Lorrant, Rebecca “Butterfly” Vaughns, and the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Choir.
Admission is free.
