The Village of Palmetto Bay is hosting “Halloween Trick-Or-Treat & Movie Night” on Saturday, Oct. 29, and not only are the planners inviting residents to attend, they want help picking the movie that will be shown.
The annual event is free and will take place at Coral Reef Park, 7895 SW 152 St., from 6 to 9 p.m. Planners describe it as “a safe and fun alternative to trick-or-treating in the streets by offering a frighteningly, fabulous Halloween Movie Night celebration. So get your scary costume and crazy wigs on, as dozens of community partners, village sports/recreational official providers and school community service clubs participate to hand out candy and stickers for trick-or-treaters.”
There will be prizes for the best costumes for those who enter. To have a voice in picking the movie that will be shown, go to the official village website at www.palmettobay-fl.gov by Oct. 16 to vote for your favorite Halloween movie. The films available are:
Goosebumps (2015)
Hotel Transylvania 2
Nightmare Before Xmas (Disney)
Hocus Pocus (Disney)
Monster House
Casper
The selected movie will start at 7 p.m. and there will be food and beverages available for purchase from participating food vendors.
