A street dedication ceremony honoring young Dean Carr will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19, and village residents are invited to attend.
Dean Carr was only 4 years old when he passed away last year after a battle with cancer. He was reportedly well loved in his community and was known as the “Mayor” of his block. His parents and neighbors will be attending the ceremony.
The ceremony will take place from 11 a.m. to noon at the intersection of SW 156th Street and 78th Place. For information call 305-259-1234.
