Village to host Veteran’s Day Breakfast at PTS on Nov. 11
(Armed forces seals)

The Village of Palmetto Bay and Palmer Trinity School are hosting a special Veteran’s Day Breakfast on Monday, Nov. 11, in honor of the men and women who served in the United States armed forces. A similar event took place last year.

Veterans are invited to an assembly and breakfast taking place in the Palmer Trinity Gymnasium from 7:45 to 10 a.m.

Guest speakers include Oliver Moore, Major, U.S. Army, and Abby Moore, Captain, U.S. Army.

Space is limited so it is advised that anyone who wants to attend should RSVP by Nov. 7. Go to:

Mayor Karyn Cunningham said she is pleased to have the event return.

“The Veterans Day breakfast in partnership with Palmer Trinity has become a signature event for our Village,” Mayor Cunningham said. “What makes it even more meaningful than the obvious celebration of our heroes, is the fact that we get to celebrate and educate students in the community. It is an opportunity for us to help our children develop a unique sense of duty, selfless service and personal courage that defines military service.

“This year will be super special as the keynote speakers, Oliver and Abby Moore, are both veterans and their children attend Palmer Trinity.”

Palmer Trinity School is located at 8001 SW 184 St.
