The Village of Palmetto Bay’s annual family-friendly overnight camping adventure returns at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, until 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, at Coral Reef Park.
Parks and recreation staff promise lots of fun and interactive activities
• Kayak and Archery;
• “Reel In The Fun” Kids Fishing Tournament;
• Animal Encounters with Nature Postings;
• Fingerprinting and K9s;
• Fire Truck Demo;
• Flag Retirement Ceremony;
• Palmetto Bay’s Got Talent Karaoke;
• S’mores by the Campfire – bring your own s’mores kit: marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, and sticks;
• Night Hike Adventure;
• Movie At The Park, Featuring How to Train Your Dragon;
• Dinosaur Fossil Dig Experience;
• Inflatable Planetarium;
• Slime Bar;
• Kiddie Train Rides;
• Laser Tag, and
• Tent Decorating Contest.
All activities are limited to registered overnight campers only.

Online registration is now open and required for all overnight campers. The fee is $15 per person but space is limited and registration closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5.
“Remember to bring your s’mores kit, tent and camping gear and prepare for a weekend of non-stop excitement and activities at Coral Reef Park. Coral Reef Park’s United Flavors concession stand and other food vendors will be available for lunch and dinner on Saturday, Feb. 7.”

Unloading and parking information:
● Overnight campers will unload their camping gear first in the designated “unloading area” (along SW 77th Avenue) and then move immediately to park their cars at the other main parking lots off of SW 152nd Street. The maximum parking time allowed in the unloading area is 15 minutes.
● Parking is available at Holy Rosary St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 7500 SW 152 St., for patrons coming only for the day on Saturday. No overnight parking will be permitted at the church.
● Police will be patrolling the swale areas. If your vehicle is blocking the sidewalk, you will be at risk of receiving a ticket. Do not leave any valuables inside your car.
Tent rental packages are available via Nature Postings. Go to www.naturepostings.com/shop to reserve a tent (while supplies last). If you are renting a tent package from Nature Postings, you will be automatically registered for the event.
