Vocal Youth Miami, formerly the Children’s Voice Chorus, will be presenting its winter concert on Saturday, Dec. 14, featuring their Palmetto Bay choirs. The performance will take place at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, located at 14401 Old Cutler Rd. in Palmetto Bay.
The concert begins at 4 p.m. and there will be a hot chocolate reception afterwards. Jamie Sutta, the group’s founder and CEO, is excited about the event showcasing many of the students in their choral performance and early childhood music program that empowers youth in Miami.
“Join us for an enchanting evening as Vocal Youth Miami’s flagship ensembles from Palmetto Bay present their winter concert,” Sutta said. “Experience the magic of holiday favorites and songs from diverse traditions, brought to life by the incredible voices of our talented students.
“Accompanied by a professional band and featuring standout soloists, this unforgettable performance takes place amidst stunning holiday decor, setting the perfect scene for a festive afternoon of music and joy,” he said.
Tickets at $20 for general admission and $10 for seniors and students can be purchased on the website www.vocalyouth.org/events.
Vocal Youth choristers have performed on a live international television broadcast on Univision’s Despierta America, with National Anthem performances for Miami Marlins and Miami Heat games, at the Adrienne Arsht Center and South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, at Carnegie Hall in New York City, at the Crescent City Children’s Choir Festival in New Orleans, and other locations. In early 2020, members of Vocal Youth represented Miami at Super Bowl LIV with a pre-game performance of America the Beautiful with Yolanda Adams.
