National Dog Day is coming up on August 26, and South Florida’s four-legged foodies deserve more than just an extra belly rub. They deserve a seat at the table.
From doggie sushi and chef-prepared canine meals to waterfront patios, stylish cafés and rooftop dining, these pet-friendly restaurants allow pups to enjoy a day out alongside their humans.
Broward
Casa Sensei
Located in the heart of Las Olas, Casa Sensei offers guests and their furry companions a waterfront dining experience on its outdoor dock overlooking the Himmarshee Canal.
The Pan-Asian and Latin fusion restaurant even has a menu created specifically for dogs. Options include hand-rolled “doggie sushi,” such as the popular Woof Roll, made with beef, rice, carrots and peas wrapped in soy paper. Pups can also choose from dishes including the Salmon Delight and Chicken Lovers Stir-Fry.
Shooters Waterfront
Four-legged guests are always welcome on the scenic patio at Shooters Waterfront, which overlooks Fort Lauderdale’s Intracoastal Waterway.
While their humans enjoy coastal-inspired cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and waterfront views, pups can order from a dedicated dog menu featuring wholesome meals prepared with USDA proteins and vegetables. Choices include the Ocean Reef Turkey, Bahia Beef and Boca Chica Chicken.

The hotel is led in part by three adorable CEOs—or Canine Executive Officers—and regularly welcomes four-legged visitors. Award-winning Chef Laurent Tourondel’s menu features New American dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients, including sushi rolls, flatbreads, grilled meats and seafood.
The Alley
Pizza and pets come together at The Alley, Chef Laurent Tourondel’s trattoria located beside The Betsy Hotel.
Its charming, pet-friendly patio is tucked inside an alleyway away from the bustle of Ocean Drive. Guests can relax with their canine companions while enjoying 16-inch Roman-style pizzas and picturesque views of The Betsy Orb.
Wyn Wyn
Located on the ground floor of Arlo Wynwood, Wyn Wyn offers a pet-friendly patio in the heart of Miami’s creative and cultural district.
Dog owners can dine outside while enjoying Executive Chef Oumar Diouf’s menu, which includes dishes such as Miso-Glazed Salmon with forbidden rice and charred bok choy, Crispy Channa Tostones and Ten Spice Calamari.
Uchiko Miami Beach
Uchiko Miami Beach, whose name means “child of Uchi,” comes from James Beard Award-winning chef Tyson Cole and showcases his unconventional approach to Japanese cuisine.

Al Bàcaro at Da Angelino Cucina Italiana
Tucked behind Da Angelino Cucina Italiana in Coconut Grove, Al Bàcaro offers an intimate, mostly open-air dining experience inspired by the traditional taverns of Venice.
The 30-seat space welcomes guests and their pups for a casual Italian aperitivo. The menu features cicchetti, or Venetian-style small bites, along with charcuterie boards and warm stuffed focaccia layered with classic Italian ingredients.
Guests can complete the experience with a glass of wine or a refreshing spritz.
Donna Mare Italian Chophouse
Located adjacent to Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, Donna Mare Italian Chophouse welcomes guests and their pets on its outdoor terrace in Miami Beach’s Mid-Beach neighborhood.
The restaurant is also conveniently located near the Miami Beach Boardwalk, making it an ideal stop before or after a scenic walk with a pup.
Donna Mare combines traditional Italian cooking with modern Miami influences, offering handcrafted pasta, wood-fired pizzas made with a 50-year-old mother yeast, aged steaks and sustainably sourced seafood.
Vilebrequin La Plage Miami
Vilebrequin La Plage Miami offers rooftop dining with French coastal influences in a stylish open-air setting.
Located atop UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection in Miami Beach, the restaurant pairs sweeping views with a relaxed but elevated atmosphere. Guests can bring their four-legged companions along for sunset cocktails, dinner or a memorable National Dog Day celebration.
