The Miami Conservatory of Music will be showcasing its instructors this weekend to celebrate a century of American Music featuring the songs of Gershwin, Carmichael, Ellington, Porter, and much more. You may not have heard of this local gem in the Grove (newly residing next to the Miami Improv) but the conservatory as been a dynamic musical presence in South Florida since 2002. The conservatory is a not-for-profit community music school accepting beginners through pre-professional music students. Students from ages 5 through adult can choose from a plethora of different instruments to study, including piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, voice, flute, drums, clarinet and saxophone. Offering private lessons, group lessons, and even children’s camps their is something for everyone at this family friendly musical sanctuary.
