A hidden gem in the heart of Miami, Keralty Hospital is rapidly transforming healthcare. This 126-bed facility was acquired by Keralty, a global healthcare organization, with a mission to make healthcare accessible and affordable. Since its acquisition in October 2020, the hospital has completed an extensive remodeling project with many important changes and upgrades. The last few years have given the Keralty Hospital team the opportunity to expand their services, recruit highquality physicians, create at home programs, and expand emergency services.
In addition to acute care services, Keralty Hospital offers outpatient surgical services and diagnostic imaging. The hospital also has an inpatient mental health unit and is a Baker Act receiving facility. The hospital’s enhanced services include gastroenterology with Dr. Zaid Rana, cardiology with Dr. Joseph Reimon, and interventional radiology with Dr. Osmany DeAngelo. These highly skilled physicians incorporate prevention, as well as diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and they are an invaluable part of the hospital’s medical education program.
Keralty Hospital understands the changing landscape of healthcare and is determined to become your best option for integrated care. The hospital wants to meet patients where they live by providing transitional care management, care at home, and community outreach that keeps you healthy, at home, and with your family and support system.
In February 2023, the hospital’s Emergency Department opened its doors to fire-rescue ambulances and became a receiving facility for emergencies that occur in the community. Led by Dr. Vincent Roddy, founder and CEO of Synergy Medical Collective, the ER team is ready to provide rapid, high-quality care for patients during critical times. Keralty Hospital wants to be your first choice for emergent and urgent healthcare needs by making sure that you are seen quickly and efficiently.
One of the many initiatives led by the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Aimee Gonzalez, is the Medical Education program. Each year, these training programs provide opportunities to more than 1,500 medical professionals, including technicians, paramedics, nurses, and physicians.
The Graduate Medical Education Department has residency programs in Family Medicine and Podiatric Medicine & Surgery. These programs also emphasize involvement in the community and have partnered with important organizations such as the Chapman Center and the Miami Rescue Mission. As said by Dr. Gonzalez, “Our residents are eager to participate in the care and wellness of our patients. They are a reflection of the passion and kindness found in our community.”
You can be assured that while at Keralty Hospital, your path to recovery is the ultimate goal.
