Belen Jesuit Prep walked away with the top prize for both high school and middle school boys varsity cross-country divisions on Sept. 18 at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair’s annual Cross-Country Race.
John A. Ferguson High School won the award in the high school girls varsity division, and St. Kevin Catholic School won the award in the middle school girls varsity division.
Team champions received the Mayor’s Cup, a new award handed out to winners at the meet run at Larry and Penny Thompson Park in southwest Miami-Dade. The trophy is part of the Youth Sports Championship Series coordinated by the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
